The new Multi-Factor Authentication policies are in place. Please contact the CIT Help Desk if there are any login problems with a generic account you manage.

Beginning Thursday, Sept 18, MFA will be enabled on all generic accounts in accordance with SUNY’s updated information security policy. Users will be prompted to set up MFA at login if it hasn’t already been configured.

If multiple users share the account and MFA has not been configured for each person, only those who have added their own MFA method will be able to log in. Users may need to click “Sign in another way” if the default method isn’t available or hasn’t been set. Accounts without MFA setup may be temporarily inaccessible until configuration is completed.

Departments can still request email delegation using this form (https://geneseo.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/12/group/30/create/1236), and assistance for setting up MFA is available by contacting the CIT Help Desk.
